Los Angeles Lakers guard Zach LaVine has issued his support for Toronto Raptors forward DeMar DeRozan. The former Chicago Bulls player, who was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in a blockbuster deal earlier this week, believes that the new Laker is one of the best players ever. Additionally, LaVine predicts that he and LeBron James will have a mega-star exit after their contracts expire with an eye on “a big payday.”

The Chicago Bulls realized they needed to be proactive this summer in their search for a legitimate No. 2 for Zach LaVine. DeMar DeRozan turned out to be a 1A or 1B, as it turned out. With the two superstars flourishing on the court and forming a close friendship off the court for one of the NBA’s top teams, it seems like LaVine will re-sign with the Bulls this summer when he becomes a free agency.

On Tuesday afternoon, LaVine intimated as much with a single tweet in support of DeRozan.

This season, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are perhaps the finest superstar duo in the NBA.

The Bulls have become one of the best scoring teams in the NBA because to Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan’s prolific offensive abilities.

Both players have a scoring average in the top six, with DeRozan (26.9 points) in fifth place and LaVine (26.3) in sixth place. They’re all really good at scoring the ball.

According to NBA.com, DeRozan is one of the top midrange scorers in the game, ranking #1 in points per possession among all players who run isolation at least 10% of the time. He’s shown an ability to pull up off the dribble or use his feet to turn off defenders and open himself up for jumpers while also going all the way to the basket.

Meanwhile, LaVine may be the NBA’s most efficient scorer. According to Stat Muse, he is averaging 1.26 points per possession this season, which is the greatest figure for someone with his volume. The former UCLA star is hitting over 50% from the field and 42% from three-point range.

Through the first 24 games, Chicago’s top tandem surpassed Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal in terms of efficiency. The Bulls’ duo has guided the club to eight consecutive victories, with Chicago shocking the Eastern Conference by sitting atop the standings.

LaVine and DeRozan aren’t only bringing the franchise to new heights; they’re also bringing the franchise to new heights. They’re forging a bond that will be crucial to the Bulls’ long-term success.

After Joel Embiid earned Eastern Conference Player of the Month over DeRozan, LaVine expressed his displeasure.

DeRozan seemed to be a strong contender for Eastern Conference Player of the Month in December.

The Bulls finished the month with a 9-2 record. With DeRozan in the lineup, they went unbeaten (8-0). In six games, the 32-year-old averaged 29.3 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and awe-inspiring his teammates with a one-legged game-winning jumper on New Year’s Eve. On New Year’s Day, he struck another game-winning buzzer-beater.

Despite his individual excellence and team success, DeRozan did not seem to be present enough to be awarded Player of the Month. Instead, they went for Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Embiid had a fantastic month as well. He averaged 29.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 13 games, shooting 62 percent true. He also had a +19 net rating in December, averaging 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks. With JoJo in the lineup, the Sixers went 8-5.

Despite Embiid’s compelling argument and the fact that he played in more games, LaVine plainly believed his friend deserved to be recognized. Shortly after the NBA revealed the distinction, LaVine tweeted “Wow…” with an angry-face emoji.

DeRozan might have became just the sixth Bulls player to earn Player of the Month. Rather, he was given an honorable mention. Nonetheless, LaVine’s unprompted tweet is instructive. It demonstrates his affection for his new co-star, which should lead to a re-signing with the Bulls.

LaVine should re-sign with the Bulls this summer if he continues to win and has a solid collaboration with DeRozan.

Since the offseason, Zach LaVine has said that he intends to remain in Chicago when his current deal expires this summer. However, if the Bulls failed to win in the first half of the season, his outlook may easily have flipped.

Chicago, on the other hand, is winning. The Bulls are starting to appear like a serious title contender, and they have a chance to cement their team before the NBA trade deadline next month.

Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso provide the Bulls with a defensively adept backcourt. Though Nikola Vucevic has struggled with consistency, his passing skills has made him an excellent third star alongside LaVine and DeRozan. Bench players like Javonte Green and youngster Ayo Dosunmu are also helping Chicago.

Ultimately, the Bulls depend on LaVine and DeRozan. That one-two punch has yielded a lot of results so far, which has to be quite promising for LaVine. Their aggregate performance demonstrates that Bulls executive Arturas Karnisovas pulled all the proper threads this summer, which means a lot in terms of building a long-term contender in Chicago.

If he makes an All-NBA team, LaVine’s next deal could pay him up to $235 million. In any case, given his fondness for DeRozan and the duo’s success so far, it seems more probable that he will remain in Chicago.
