New England Patriots tight end and recent signing, Trent Brown, has spent his entire life around football. His dad was a professional player, his grandfather played, and so did his brother. Brown started playing football in the 8th grade and continued through high school and college. He even played a year of football for Boston College. But Brown’s career ended much earlier than most. After a disappointing year, Brown decided to retire from football, because he didn’t feel like he was in the right place mentally to play.

The New England Patriots have been announcing their pre-training camp training camp schedule, and have announced that offensive lineman Trent Brown will not be attending the team’s early workouts. His absence is not being made public, and the team is not giving any reason for his absence.

Trent Brown had a plan, but it didn’t go according to plan. The rookie fullback of the New England Patriots had hoped to join the team for offseason workouts earlier this year. Although this training is voluntary, he had hoped to participate earlier. This has never happened before. Brown appeared at minicamp on the 7th. June, and it wasn’t until Wednesday that he revealed the tragic reason for his absence.

Brown was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft and spent three years at right guard for the 49ers. The Patriots traded the 6-foot-8, 380-pound quarterback in 2018, and he played a key role in helping them win Super Bowl 53. Then, in March 2019, Brown received a huge payday from the Oakland Raiders. He has a four-year contract worth $66 million. He immediately broke into the Raiders’ lineup and reached his first Pro Bowl. Brown played in 11 games before being placed on the injured list. The following season was disappointing, as he was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list twice and only came to five games. The Patriots reclaimed him in March by trading a fifth-round pick for Brown and a seventh-round pick.

Trent Brown explains the tragic reason he missed practice with the Patriots in April

. Brown did not comment after he refused to volunteer to train in April. He had an excuse and shared it with the media on Wednesday. When I heard we would have an OTA, I told them I would be there the first day, Brown said, according to WEEI. Then my brother and I had a tragic accident – an ATV accident – where he almost lost his arm. That’s why I went away for three or four weeks. Although these early workouts are voluntary, Brown said he’s glad the Patriots are open to it. He said his brother’s horrific injury had hit the family hard. My children are in the house with me and my brother, he said. It was a traumatic experience and it was traumatic for me to be around him and see his arm hanging out and ribbons, I experienced that. So I had to pull myself together and come back to finish the spring strong. I’m glad the organization understood what I was going through and let me take a step back to be with my family.

Brown came back and said his brother was better

. Brown rejoined the Patriots team and said his brother was doing better, although he needed 360 stitches in his arm. The recovery will be long and painful, but he has 360 stitches in his arm, he said. It will be a long road, but the most important thing for me is to be there. He’s my brother. We were there for each other, we went through it together, and I wanted to make sure he was okay. It’s better this way. Brown spent most of his career as a right guard. In his first season with the Patriots, New England moved him to the left side. He will likely play right back for New England, while Isaiah Wynn will remain on the left wing.
