It’s been an amazing first three weeks of the NFL season, and there’s still five more weeks left to go. So far, we’ve seen all of the teams that we expected to be bad this season make an immediate impact, with the Cardinals being the biggest surprise. Still, there are a few teams out there with no wins, and I’m hoping that one of them goes 0-17 in the season next year.

The 2017-18 NFL season was the first to feature teams with a perfect record, and it appears the league will see more of the same in the near future. There are a lot of people who think the Dallas Cowboys will win the Super Bowl this year, but there’s also a lot of people who think it will be the Jacksonville Jaguars. On this podcast, I’m going to break down each of the four teams that will win the Super Bowl and explain why I think each one will go 0-17. By the end of it, you will be able to make bets on the teams you think will win the Super Bowl, and I’ll explain why those teams will lose.

Football season is in full swing, and it looks like the NFL’s parity is poised to hit some new lows this year. The odds makers have long been predicting a downward trend in the league’s win total, but the league has been making strides over the past decade to combat this. The NFL has passed new rules aimed at improving player safety, and it has expanded its scouting and staffing efforts to accommodate the expansion of the league and the talent drain of the free agency market.. The time between NFL minicamps and training camp is a quiet time for the league and its fans. There is some news here and there, but mostly it’s a time to evaluate the NFL draft and make predictions for the upcoming season. For bettors, it’s also time to bet on NFL futures.

As the 2021 season approaches, there are plenty of NFL futures options to bet on. But the best bet is to bet on teams that could get really funky this year. With that in mind, there are four teams you can bet on for an 0-17 winless streak.

First 0-17 team to make NFL history

Since 1944, only five NFL teams have not won a season: Dallas Cowboys in 1960, Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1976, Baltimore Colts in 1982, Detroit Lions in 2008 and Cleveland Browns in 2017. The next team to accomplish this feat will be the first team to go 0-17.

The 2021 NFL season is guaranteed to be unique and historic. For the first time in league history, each team will play 17 regular season games. That means if the team doesn’t keep winning, they will become the first team in history with an 0-17 record.

Winless games are not uncommon in the NFL. This has happened several times. From the beginning of professional football until World War II, 29 different franchises failed to win even one game during the season. These teams have failed to win one to eleven games.

Since 1960, when NFL seasons became longer, there have been far fewer teams that haven’t won at least one Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys (0-11-1) in 1960 and the Baltimore Colts (0-8-1) in the strike-shortened 1982 season did not have a win, but played to a draw.

The real O’farm teams of the modern NFL began in 1976 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-14). This was the first year of the franchise’s existence. When a reporter asked then-coach John McKay about the team’s performance, he replied: I’m all for it, reports TampaBay.com.

The current undefeated record holders both finished 2000 with 16-game seasons. The 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns share this distinction.

Four NFL futures bets you can make on 0-17 teams

Larry Ball is the answer to a big trivial question. He is the only player in NFL history to play a full season for both…

– The team that never won (1976 Buccaneers).

Before the 2021 season begins, there are four organizations where the odds are so low that you can make futures bets on which NFL teams will finish the season without a win or tie. Two teams can be so bad that the chances of finishing without a win are not that great.

According to FOX BET, the two teams with the least chance of going 0-17 are the Houston Texans and the team that will break its own record of zero wins is the Detroit Lions. Both teams are +3,000 (30-1) for a winless game.

Other options have higher odds, but still probably bad enough for a sports betting firm to let you bet on that futures bet. The Jacksonville Jaguars are +30,000 (300:1) away from an 0-17 win and the New York Jets are +40,000 (400:1) away from reaching that mark.

The honest answer is that probably no team will end the season without a win. Even based on a relatively small sample of the first 21 seasons of this century, a winless season occurs only 0.3% of the time.

Still, the odds seem to be better for Houston or Detroit than for Jacksonville or New York. The last two teams are included because they finished last season with the two worst records. They both have new coaches who are highly regarded (Urban Meyer and Robert Saleh) and young QBs with a lot of potential (Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson). A lot of things have to go wrong for the Jags and Jets to win this NFL future bet.

New Lions and Texans coaches Dan Campbell and David Calley are not as proven or respected as Meyer and Saleh. As for QB, the Lions have Jarred Goff, who no one trusts except Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams team.

The Texans have Deshaun Watson, but lingering legal issues may keep him sidelined all season. If that happens, the team will consider Tyrod Taylor, Jeff Driskel or third-round rookie Davis Mills.

Houston is the most likely candidate for an 0-17 season if Watson is released or traded. If Watson plays even a few games, your best bet on NFL futures is the Detroit Lions.
