After the Boston Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors in game 6 to earn their spot as NBA Champions, Kendrick Perkins tweeted that he deserved a ring if his team won. After losing Game 7, Kevin Garnett replied with “Too bad we couldn’t give you one man.”
The “kendrick perkins” is an NBA player who has been with the Boston Celtics for a long time. He believes that he deserves a ring if the team wins the championship.
With the Boston Celtics, Kendrick Perkins has already earned an NBA championship ring. He feels he is deserving of another chance.
Perkins hasn’t played for the Celtics since 2011 and has been out of the NBA since 2018. He was the starting center for Boston’s 2008 championship squad. In Boston, he appeared in two NBA Finals, winning in 2008 and losing in seven games in 2010. Perkins, who is now an NBA commentator, reportedly said that if the Celtics win their 18th NBA championship, he deserves another ring.

Although his numbers aren’t very impressive, Perkins had a significant influence with the Celtics.
Perkins was selected in the first round of the 2003 NBA Selection by the Memphis Grizzlies, but he was traded to the Boston Celtics on draft day. After graduating from Clifton J. Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas, Perkins immediately entered the NBA.
Perkins has increased his playing time after participating in 10 games as a rookie. In his third season, he started 40 of the 68 games he played, giving him experience as a starter. He started 78 games in the 2007-08 season.
Former Celtics president Danny Ainge arranged a pair of transactions that converted the club into an immediate contender that year. Kevin Garnett was acquired by Boston from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for five players and two first-round draft selections. Ray Allen, a sharpshooter, was also acquired by the Celtics in a separate transaction with the Seattle SuperSonics.
The Celtics’ first Big Three since Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish was Garnett, Allen, and Paul Pierce. They won their first NBA championship since 1986 as a team for the first time.
Perkins was named to the starting lineup with the Big Three and Rajon Rondo at point guard. Perkins displayed toughness and tenacity in the paint despite averaging 6.9 points and 6.1 rebounds that season.
The Celtics made it back to the NBA Finals two years later, with Perkins having his finest statistical season. He scored 10.1 points and grabbed 7.6 rebounds, both career highs. Perkins was hurt in Game 6 and did not play in Game 7, as the Lakers won an ugly 83-79 game.
If the Celtics win the NBA championship, Perkins believes he deserves a ring.
On the basketball court, Perkins used to earn a career as an enforcer. He now spends his time lecturing about the game he played for 14 years professionally.
He’s not scared to voice what he’s thinking. He, like many others, was critical of the Celtics throughout their first three months of the season. Boston was 25-25 at the halfway point of the season, demonstrating that they couldn’t retain a lead. Fans and athletes both expressed their dissatisfaction. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the team’s studs, were slammed by Perkins.
Perkins stated after the Atlanta Hawks blew away the Celtics earlier this year, “Here’s the issue I have.” “It begins with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and it goes on from there.” All I witnessed from Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum tonight was poor body language, a lot of shots, whining to the refs, and not playing any form of defense.”
Perkins demanded for the team’s two stars to be separated at one point. He joked that they had listened to him and had changed their minds.
“The Celtics were at 18-21 and 11th in the East on Jan 6th,” Perkins tweeted. “On Jan 7th I called the organization out and said that Tatum and Brown needed to be split! They took it personally and it saved their season. I need my damn ring if they win it all!”
The Celtics had one of the most dramatic comebacks in recent memory. They went on a 26-6 run to conclude the regular season. They swept the Brooklyn Nets, defeated the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks, and eliminated the Miami Heat, who were seeded first. In the 2022 NBA Finals, they now have a 1-0 lead against the Golden State Warriors.
