And, although 49ers supporters are doing all in their power – and their wallets – to make SoFi Stadium into Levi South (should we name it Candlestick South? ), the truth remains that teams pursuing a three-game sweep have a significant edge over visiting teams.

The side with two regular-season victories has been the home team 17 times in the previous 22 third matches between the same clubs. The home team has a 12-6 record in those games.
