His contributions helped them win an NBA Championship in 2017 before reaching their first ever Finals as they try to make it two-in-a row this year. He says that while they were already a dynasty when they won last season, there’s still work left to do this time around if they want another championship trophy.

For most of the past decade, the Golden State Warriors have ruled the NBA. The combination of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson has reached the NBA Finals in each of the last six years that they’ve all been healthy, and they’ve guided Golden State to three championships in that time.
After the Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals for the sixth time in eight years, there was lots of talk among fans and media about how this club had officially established itself as one of the league’s finest dynasties. Green, on the other hand, believes the Warriors were a dynasty even before their most recent Finals appearance.

After reaching the NBA Finals for the sixth time in eight years, the Warriors should be regarded one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history. Green, on the other hand, claims that Golden State has been a dynasty for years.
Green noted on the current edition of The Draymond Green Show podcast (h/t NBC Bay Area), “I’ve been hearing all the chatter.” “It’s impossible not to hear it. For example, the Warriors dynasty and that trio, and so on. I’ll tell you what, I believe getting to the NBA Finals and potentially winning a title only helps. However, the dynasty was still intact prior to this. This has no bearing on the dynasty. The dynasty has been established.
“And it just keeps getting better and better, and it keeps going up and higher.” But this does not stamp the dynasty, nor does it stamp Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, myself, or anybody else. This is what we’ve been doing, and it’s nice to be back in this position. I understand that people need something to speak about, but this doesn’t mean that people will suddenly say, “Oh yes, this is a dynasty.” No. Put a stop to it. It’s been a family dynasty.”
It’s difficult to disagree with Green.

Since the Tim Duncan-led San Antonio Spurs, no team has had as much success as the Warriors in recent years. From 2015 through 2019, Golden State advanced to the NBA Finals five times in a row, winning three times. Due to major injuries to Curry and Thompson, the Warriors missed the playoffs for two years in a row, but the crew is now back together, and they’re exactly where they belong.
Golden State has gone 18-0 in Western Conference series in its previous six totally healthy postseason campaigns. The Warriors are four victories away from winning their fourth championship in as many playoff appearances.
The 2015-22 Warriors have already been mentioned as a top-five dynasty in NBA history, albeit they aren’t on the same level as the Michael Jordan-Chicago Bulls or the Bill Russell-Boston Celtics.
