On Tuesday night, Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman hit a two-run single in the second inning. It was a good at-bat, but it was quickly overshadowed by an incident between the Braves and the Miami Marlins.
It’s no secret that baseball can be a tough game for a coach, with many players facing hard times on the field and behind the scenes. However, a umpire making his way to the dugout after an apparent altercation with the Miami Marlins putting out a hit on an outfielder shows the lengths that some players will go to in order to “win”.
It was a tense weekend in MLB.. Read more about atlanta baseball team and let us know what you think.Throughout his baseball career, Don Mattingly seemed to be a Mr. Right. Good boy. When he played for the New York Yankees in the 1980s, he was Mr. Yankee. He was respected throughout the league. It was rare for him to get involved in a fight or be thrown out of a match.
Since becoming manager of the Miami Marlins, his reputation has changed. Mattingly’s clean image took a hit on Friday the 2nd. In July, the blow came hard when he was pulled from the Miami – Atlanta Braves game after Ronald Acuna Jr. hit the Marlins’ pitcher again.

The Braves and Marlins already had a complicated history together before Ronald Acuna Jr. joined the team in 2018. But when Akuna became the Braves, the stakes were raised.
Acuna is not only one of the best players in baseball, but probably one of the boldest athletes in the sport, and he doesn’t hide it.
Like former Braves third baseman Chipper Jones, who destroyed the New York Mets when he played there, Akuna dominated the Marlins. According to the New York Post, Acuna hit 20 home runs against the Marlins in his career, which is why they hate him so much.
Not surprisingly, Mattingly probably asked pitcher Pablo Lopez to replace Akuna, which didn’t go over well with the Braves.
Lopez and Mattingly were thrown out of the game, as expected. And the Miami pitcher made no secret of what he thought of Akuna:
We all know Akuna is a superstar.
We all know what he does. They also don’t want to put him on the bases because he can steal 40-50 bases a year.
But it was just a poorly executed tour. The ball just ran instead of going down and hit him unfortunately, and that’s not what I want.
Akuna knows full well that the Marlins hate him, and that doesn’t seem to bother him.
Last year, he tweeted after the Marlins game: They hit me because they can’t retreat. This was after Akuna hit a home run and swung the bat.
How many times have the Marlins beaten Akuna this season? Five times according to CBS Sports.
That’s more than any other team he’s faced this year. Probably one of the most infamous hits on Acuna occurred in 2018, when Marlins pitcher Jose Ureña attacked the then-newcomer on the very first pitch of the game.
Since then, MLB fans have witnessed a true feud between Akuna and the Miami team.

The tension between the clubs is not limited to Akuna, Mattingly also harbors a deep grudge against the Braves.
The Marlins manager even said he thought Braves pitcher Michael Soroka intentionally broke Peter O’Brien’s rib, according to a tweet from MLB Network opposing pitcher Craig Misha.
