In a world where records are broken all the time, the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes has set a new standard for his team and his own career so far. Entering the 2018 NFL season, Mahomes had a nice but unspectacular 10-7 record as a starter in his first two seasons. He was a prolific, accurate, and strong quarterback who managed a team. He did a lot of things right, but did not have a great record.

It’s week 6 in the NFL, and the Kansas City Chiefs are 6-0 after defeating the Chargers in the most recent game. Mahomes has been the Chiefs’ top offensive threat, throwing for over 4000 yards, while rushing for nearly 1000 more. His performance has made him a favorite to win league MVP, and the Chiefs are the odds-on favorite to win the AFC West.

With the Kansas City Chiefs in full rebuild mode, it may be time for them to take advantage of their current situation. With the team only having one reliable starter at the quarterback position, they may be able to take advantage of his talent by not turning to him when they need him. Last year, Patrick Mahomes seemed like the only option the Chiefs had at the quarterback position. This season, they may want to take advantage.. Read more about who did the chiefs lose to and let us know what you think.

The Kansas City Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, are among the best in the NFL. The organization has had tremendous success in recent seasons, led by future Hall of Fame coach Andy Reid.

Last year’s Super Bowl saw Mahomes and the Chiefs lose to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but that’s no reason to be concerned. This summer, the Chiefs bolstered their offensive line, and Mahomes is probably the greatest quarterback in the league.

In fact, some people are so optimistic about Mahomes and the Chiefs in 2021 that they are projecting a 20-0 season.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Nick Wright, can go 20-0.

Nick Wright, a famous TV presenter, unveiled his NFL rankings list ahead of the upcoming season on a recent episode of “First Things First.” He divided the league into ten categories, ranging from “Expansion 2.0” with the Houston Texans to “20-0?” with the Kansas City Chiefs.

At first look, a 20-0 season seems improbable, but we’re talking about Mahomes, Reid, and the Chiefs. It would be Kansas City if there was a club to wager on achieving such a feat in 2021.

The Chiefs have enjoyed a successful offseason.

So, why is Wright lumping the Chiefs into the unbeaten category?

For starters, the team’s offensive line was totally rebuilt this summer by the executive management. Following a Super Bowl in which Mahomes spent the majority of the game fleeing for his life due to poor line play, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach wasted no time in revamping the position group. Joe Thuney, Kyle Long, and Austin Blythe were among the major experienced free agents he signed. Orlando Brown Jr., a talented offensive lineman, was also snatched away from the Baltimore Ravens by Veach.

The Chiefs were able to reach the Super Bowl last year despite having a below-average offensive line. They now have one that is on the cusp of becoming exceptional.

The Chiefs are essentially returning the same squad that helped them win the AFC the previous two seasons, apart from their new-look offensive line. Mahomes is still at the helm, Tyreek Hill is still the team’s leading receiver, Travis Kelce is still the team’s primary tight end, and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is hoping to make a huge jump in his second season.

Tyrann Mathieu and Chris Jones continue to lead the charge on the defensive side of the ball. Kansas City has never had an exceptional defense, but in recent years they’ve been more than adequate.

They did lose experienced WR Sammy Watkins to free agency, so keep an eye on the Chiefs for a possible trade deadline addition.

To go 20-0, Patrick Mahomes has to win MVP.

To summarize, reaching 20-0 is a near-impossible achievement. Only if Mahomes plays like the clear and convincing MVP will such a result be achieved.

Even though Mahomes earned MVP in 2018 after passing for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns, the Chiefs only managed 12 victories and a playoff departure. If the Chiefs really want to go undefeated, the fifth-year quarterback will have to exceed his already spectacular previous seasons.
