Baker Mayfield is the last quarterback the Browns truly needed. The Browns made the right decision. The Browns did not make the right decision. The Browns should not make any decision. If the Browns did not make the right decision, who did they make it to?

This sudden turnaround is a huge surprise, as Cleveland has been a hotbed of fighting fan movements for years now. Back in 1999 they staged a massive block party on the day of a Browns home game as a form of protest. In 2011 they started a massive Facebook page to rally against the team’s ownership. This year they spent the past few months blowing up Twitter with a massive protest movement, and got a lot of attention from the media.

For a team that holds nearly everything against Baker Mayfield, it’s hard to understand why the Browns have gone from laughingstocks to contenders in a matter of months. How did a team that seemed to have lost its way in the middle of the season become a threat to come out of the AFC North in a troubling manner? Well, a few years ago, a high school quarterback in Ohio decided he wanted to play for the Browns, and that’s when everything changed.. The Cleveland Browns have a long way to go before they can call their reconstruction a success, but there’s no denying the team is on the right track. The Browns have a great opportunity to represent the AFC in Super Bowl 56, thanks to a strong head coach, a confident quarterback, and a squad loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.

Of course, Baker Mayfield’s right arm is crucial to their success. And, due to an unexpected turn of circumstances, he and the Browns should be much scarier in the future.

Going into the 2021 season, Cleveland has one of the most outstanding lineups in the NFL.

The Browns have built a championship-caliber team that seems capable of making a serious run at the Lombardi Trophy in 2021, despite years of losing. Indeed, it’s difficult not to be enthralled by the prospects of a Cleveland squad that is loaded on both sides of the ball.

Mayfield is the quarterback of a star-studded offense with plenty of playmakers. While Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry are expected to monopolize the bulk of targets, Donovan Peoples-Jones, a 2020 sixth-round selection, and veteran Rashard Higgins are both capable of making an impact in the passing game. Furthermore, the Browns have depth at tight end and running back, and their offensive line seems to be capable of controlling the trenches.

Meanwhile, Jadeveon Clowney and Myles Garrett, two No. 1 overall choices on the edge, lead Cleveland’s defense. That combination has terrifying potential, and it’s conceivable that joining the Browns will bring out the best in Clowney, who hasn’t lived up to expectations in previous years.

In addition, the secondary looks to be well-stocked for the 2021 season. The Browns could have one of the league’s best passing defenses, with youthful playmakers at corner and safety, including intriguing rookie first-round selection Greg Newsome II.

Cleveland supporters should be optimistic about the future because to the roster’s strength and the dynamic combination of head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry. And, in light of a recent revelation, the future for an uber-talented Browns squad seems much brighter.

Baker Mayfield and the Browns should be much scarier going forward as a result of an unexpected turn of events.

In the NFL, things can change fast.

One of Mayfield’s colleagues, thankfully, has changed his mind about staying in Cleveland. And if the Browns can find a way to keep David Njoku for a fair price, they’ll be even more dangerous on offense in the future.

The 2017 first-round pick made news last summer when he requested a trade. Ultimately, the 6-foot-4, 246-pound tight end was not traded, and he had 19 catches for 213 yards and two scores in 13 games in 2020. (five starts).

Njoku, who is set to make $6 million in the last year of his rookie contract, has gone from requesting to making it plain that he wants to be moved. The 25-year-old informed reporters at his Aug. 20 press conference that he would direct his agency to work on a contract extension.

Despite the fact that Njoku hasn’t lived up to his first-round billing, he has uncommon athleticism for the position. He may never grow into a genuine superstar, but he has the physical attributes to make linebackers and safeties’ lives tough. After all, the former University of Miami star showed his talent in 2018 with a career-high 88 targets and a total of 56/639/4.

Njoku is part of a tight end group that also includes Austin Hooper and Harrison Bryant, a potential second-year pro. He adds speed and explosive to the table, unlike his colleagues. Mayfield and the Browns should have plenty of chances to put up huge score totals for years to come if Njoku can put his injury problems behind him and play up to his potential.

Where do the Browns stand among the AFC’s best teams?

Is the Cleveland Browns a legitimate Super Bowl contender?

Absolutely.

But where do they stand among the AFC’s elite squads?

It’s a little more difficult to respond to that question.

The Cleveland Browns seem to have the star power to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, putting the Browns ahead of the club that has represented the AFC in the Super Bowl for the last two seasons would be unjust.

Mayfield and company, on the other hand, might be said to be deserving of the No. 2 position in the conference power rankings. The Buffalo Bills have a strong roster, but they lack the star power that the Cleveland Browns have. And, despite Bill Belichick’s summer improvements, the New England Patriots have simply too many questions to be regarded a stronger club than the Browns at this point.

Cleveland obviously has a winning formula. Given the franchise’s track record of losing, it must feel great to know that brighter days are on the way.

Only time will tell whether Baker Mayfield is the proper quarterback for the Browns to win a championship.

Nick Chubb’s Future with the Browns Has Been Secured by a $36.6 Million Decision He Should Already Regret

The Cleveland Browns are an NFL powerhouse that has won three straight AFC North titles, including the last two under the leadership of coach Hue Jackson. Following the 2016 season, however, the Browns fired Jackson after two seasons and hired former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Todd Haley. That’s the kind of move that makes many fans cringe.. Read more about browns season predictions and let us know what you think.
