WWE WrestleMania 33 Preview

We have finally reached Wrestlemania, and something I thought I would never say is happening: Goldberg vs. Lesnar for the Universal Title. Given there first Mania match, everyone was rightfully cautious leading up to this. However, the buildup has been pretty good thus far. This match might be better than we think. There are some other great matches as well, so let’s get right into it!

Austin Aries vs. Neville for the Cruiserweight Title

Austin Aries has always been an outstanding talent. His work in ROH and TNA has been incredible. So when he came to WWE, everyone was expecting big things. Even when he was hurt, he was still exciting to watch. He goes up against Neville, who’s heel turn has done wonders for him. He should’ve been headlining the Cruiserweights, and now that he is there, that division just got better. I see this match really getting everyone excited for the main card, with Aries walking out as champ.

Winner: Aries

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Are you on the WWE roster and find yourself doing nothing at Mania this year? Then come on down to the Andre the Giant Battle Royal! Let’s face it, there are a few names in this match who should be on the main card, (Zayn and Strowman come to mind). But it is still a fun time. Call ups and returning stars appear in the match, so we have that to look forward to. There are only two people that should win: Zayn or Strowman. Strowman needs this win more though, as he needs to be booked strong after losing to Reigns.

Winner: Strowman

SD Womens Title Match

Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James vs. Naomi vs. Becky Lynch vs. Carmella vs. Natalya. That is the match. And this will be a great match. Each of these women are great in their own way. Carmella is good at trash talk. Natalya is the best technical wrestler. Naomi is fast and agile. James is the returning vet with good skills. Lynch is the all around best. And Bliss is a great champion who is getting better all the time. This match might be better than the Raw Women’s Title match. Given the returning Naomi, and the fact that Mania is in her hometown, Naomi is the odds on favorite to win.

Winner: Naomi

Dean Ambrose vs. Baron Corbin for the IC Title

Both Dean and Corbin are great talents on SD. Dean has always been entertaining to watch, and Corbin is developing into a serious star. This match will be a grueling one. As both men are clearly tough SOBs, don’t expect this match to be less than five minutes. When he’s into it, Dean can give you a great match to watch. And Corbin isn’t a slouch. This will be more like a fight than a match.

Winner: Corbin

Raw Tag Team Title Triple Threat Ladder Match

Enzo and Cass vs. Gallows and Anderson vs. Sheamus and Cesaro. Sheamus and Cesaro have been great as a team. I was hesitant at first, but they have become a great team. The Club has not been booked as strong as they should have been, which is sad. Enzo and Cass need to win on Sunday. They are the team that will work best with the Tag Titles. Yes, Sheamus and Cesaro would be great as champs again. But, Enzo and Cass have not been booked as well as they should be. Even though they are incredibly over, they need to pull the trigger with these guys and give them the titles. If it doesn’t happen now, then I don’t know when it will.

Winner: Enzo and Cass

Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens for the US Title

These two have brought out the best in each other. This has been some of the best work Y2J has done in a long time. Only Jericho can get things like a list and “Stupid Idiot!” over with the crowd. Owens is the best heel on Raw. His aggression and skills make him incredible to watch. This is the match I’m looking forward to the most. This match will be everything we want it to be. It will be brutal, tough, and glorious. Given that Jericho probably doesn’t have much left, expect Owens to win this match. And when I say that, I mean he doesn’t have much left prove in WWE, nor does he have many feuds left to him.

Winner: Owens

Raw Womens Title Fatal Four Way Match

Bayley vs. Charlotte vs. Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks. This match will be a great match. All four of these women bring skills. Charlotte brings technical ability. Jax brings brute strength. Banks brings speed. And Bayley bring tenacity. I still feel the SD Women’s title match will be better, but that doesn’t mean this match won’t be good. It will be outstanding. Given the storyline shifts that will occur, I expect Banks to win. Banks will turn heel and cost Bayley the title, setting up a great feud for months. And Charlotte vs. Jax will be great to watch as well. I want Bayley to win, but Banks will get the title.

Winner: Banks

Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles

AJ should be in the World Title picture for Mania. Or at least be facing someone that isn’t Shane. I’m not saying this match won’t be good, but it won’t be as great as it would be if AJ was facing someone else. AJ has always been phenomenal, and his past proves it. He was amazing in ROH and TNA, so having him in WWE was something that needed to happen, and I was so glad it did. Shane is no slouch in the ring, but he won’t be able to hang with AJ is the problem. I like this feud, I like this buildup, I just don’t think I will like this match. Of course, I will be pleasantly surprised maybe. Obviously AJ needs to win. Shane shouldn’t win this match.

Winner: Styles

John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse

At first, I was against this match. Cena should be facing the Undertaker. Don’t get me wrong, I think he still should be facing Taker, but the buildup to this feud has got me more and more excited for it. Cena has been dropping fire promos as of late, and he has the crowd firmly on his side. The Miz has made significant strides since Wrestlemania 27, and these two will put on a great match. The only problem will be Maryse. It has been years since she last competed. Nikki has gotten better over time, but she won’t be able to carry Maryse to a good match. That is the main concern. However, Cena and Miz will be able to be great in the ring. I’m looking forward to this one!

Winner: Cena and Nikki

Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns

I am not looking forward to this match. Undertaker is up there in age, and won’t be able to carry this match. And everyone knows Reigns sure as hell can’t carry a match at all. Everyone is against Reigns in this match. If he wins, I truly believe there will be a riot. The Undertaker has been with the WWE for years, and deserves a great match. Reigns will not give it to him. Reigns isn’t going to turn heel, and he won’t be great in this match. Hopefully, next year the WWE gives us Cena vs. Taker, like they should have this year.

Winner: Undertaker

Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship

The fact that Bray Wyatt is the WWE Champion after years of losing at ppvs is amazing. He finally is gaining momentum, and he is where he should have been a long time ago. Randy Orton is always a good opponent. The back and forth between these two has been entertaining. This match can go a couple of ways: either Orton wins clean, or Orton wins by DQ. I would like to see Wyatt retain, but I am hesitant to give him this win. Wyatt will get the title back, but don’t expect him to keep it after Sunday.

Winner: Orton

Goldberg vs. Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title

Remember when these two faced each other at Wrestlemania before? Remember how awful that was? Yeah, don’t expect that to happen again. This match will be a better match. The return of Goldberg made me so happy. I didn’t expect him to win the way he did. Hell, I didn’t expect him to win at all. But it is great to see him back. No matter what happens on Sunday, he will still have a winning record against Lesnar. 3-0 or 2-1. Lesnar is pretty good when he is motivated. We saw last year how awful he is when he doesn’t care. I expect this match to be a great match. No squash, but a full length match. It won’t bring the house down, but it will be better than everyone thinks it will be.

Winner: Lesnar

Seth Rollins vs. Triple H in a Non Sanctioned Match

This is a match that almost didn’t happen. I’m glad it is happening! At first, this feud was pushed to the side. Then, it was brought back. Then, Samoa Joe injured Rollins. Now Rollins is back and ready to go (kind of). Rollins needs to win this match. Yes, there will be interference from Samoa Joe and maybe Owens. But, Rollins won’t be alone. I completely expect Mick Foley and maybe even Finn Balor to appear and help Rollins out. This match will be a tough match to watch, but will be worth it in the end. Give the win to Rollins.

Winner: Rollins
