The UFC is back! After what has seemed like an eternity, we get to see some of the best athletes in the world compete in front of what should be a raucous Mexican crowd. In the main event, you got ex-champ (#2)Rafael Dos Anjos taking on (#3)Tony Ferguson in a fight that could very well decide who fights the winner of Eddie Alvarez-Conor McGregor. Dos Anjos will be looking to bounce back after being stopped by Alvarez back in July as for Ferguson, he’ll look to put together a much better performance after he almost got put out by unknown Lando Vannata in his last outing. In the co-main event, you’ve got Mexican-American Diego Sanchez hoping to bounce back against Marcin Held. This isn’t going to be an easy fight for Sanchez as Held is game and has held his own against some really good fighters. (#4)Ricardo Lamas returns after being outclassed by Max Holloway and he’ll be taking on (#8)Charles Oliveira who’ll also be looking to bounce back after getting outclassed by Anthony Pettis. Both fighters will look to make a statement for the fans in Mexico and get back into title contention at 145. There’s plenty of great match-ups here at UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos-Ferguson so make sure you tune in tomorrow night.

Analysis:
This fight has fight of the night written all over it. Both guys like to be the aggressor and both combine their striking and ground game together with the best of them. I see this fight being back and forth through 25 minutes and at the end it could be anyone’s fight. However, I think the power difference between Ferguson and RDA will be on display throughout. Ferguson should be more explosive and land the harder shots which will keep RDA off balance a few times. This will result in Ferguson gaining his ninth consecutive victory. If this happens, Dana White and company, GIVE THAT MAN A TITLE SHOT.

Justin Szabo: Ferguson via 1st round KO

Analysis: We have a matchup of two mother f****** hitters *Nate Diaz voice*. RDA could potentially be headed down a dark path after getting bullied by Alvarez. Taking on a guy like Ferguson in a rebound fight is bad news. Dos Anjos has looked a bit sluggish recently, and I think that continues into this fight. Ferguson is special, one of the top pound for pound power punchers in the UFC. I see Fergie catching RDA off balance early and bullying him into a vicious KO loss.

Richard Bowman: Dos Anjos via 2nd round TKO

Analysis: Before Rafael Dos Anjos got stopped by Eddie Alvarez, this match-up would be a lot easier to predict but no one knows RDA will bounce back from getting stopped in a title fight the way he did. This fight has the potential to be war especially if both men can withstand each other’s power. Despite being one of the heavier hitters at 155, Tony Ferguson gets rocked quite a bit but he’s still very dangerous when hurt and RDA must watch for this or we could see a nasty counter by Ferguson. I like Dos Anjos in this one primarily because of his endurance and pressure. At some point, he should be able to break Ferguson but as I mentioned above don’t be shocked if Ferguson catches RDA with picture perfect counter leading to a finish.
